

Born August 22, 1948 in Oak Park, Illinois, he was the son of the late Thomas Sr. and Louise (Steffen) Kettner. Tom attended Tampa Catholic High School where he played football and ran track. He graduated from the University of South Florida (USF) with a degree in Art and became a renowned artist who devoted over 20 years at the Tampa Museum of Art. Tom spent most of his life in Tampa, Florida; however, he called Ybor City his home and not only embraced the Ybor City community, but also became a fixture in the Ybor City art scene.
He is survived by his sister, Susan R. Kettner of Dade City, Florida; his brother and sister-in-law, John B. & Linda Kettner of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania; special niece, Dana Barry (Clint) of Brooksville, Florida; nephews, Ted Cwynar (Julie) and Jason Cwynar; great-nieces, Evangelene Branson (Roman), Hannah Cwynar, and Hadley Cwynar; great-nephew, Zayne Barry; two great-great-niece and nephew.
The family wishes to thank HPH Hospice for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the HPH Hospice Care Center.
