YOUNG, Vivian A., age 87 went to meet her Lord on Friday, February 11, 2011. She was born in Plum Branch, SC and at the age of 3 months, she moved to Florida with her family. Vivian was an avid bowler for many years, traveling around Florida for tournaments. Then she found Bingo and became a “Bingo Mama”! She really enjoyed playing. Vivian and Bill were members of the VFW & DAV and Bill would love to call numbers at the Bingo games. Everything in her life came to a complete halt Monday- Friday at 7:00pm when Wheel of Fortune aired on T.V. She was one of their biggest fans! She enjoyed watching PBA tournaments whenever they were televised on ESPN. She always had an enormous garden and beautiful flowers. Camping and fishing were by far, her very favorite things to do. She was one of the last of a dying breed of incredible old fashioned Southern cooks. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years: Bill Young; she is survived by her brother: Robert (Helen) Young of Oxford, GA; sons: Bill Young, Jr., and Thomas W. Young; daughter: Darla Odle; 3 granddaughters: Monica Ankrom, Tracy Smith and Carson Young; 4 grandsons: Brian Odle, Tommy Young, Jr., Eric Young and Travis Young; 3 nieces: Donna, Debi and Venita and one nephew: Gary. She was blessed to have had nine great- grandchildren, who also played a loving part in her life. She was also survived by many caring and loving friends. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed. A small service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday March 11, 2011 at the Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HPH Hospice, 698 S. Broad Street, Brooksville, FL 34601.
