MARKS, Walter Thomas, age 89 of Lecanto, FL passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at his residence. Born in East Martinsburg, NY he came to the area in 1982 from Zephyrhills, FL. He was a high school teacher who taught at Hernando High and Central High, was a U.S. Navy Veteran, member of the American Quarter Horse Association and of the Methodist faith. He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Carol; son & daughter-in-law: Wyatt & Julie Marks of Clermont; daughter & son-in-law: Carie & Scott Summers of Sharpsburg, GA and 3 grandchildren: Braydon, Liam and Gavin. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Marks' residence at 10060 South Lecanto Highway, Lacanto, FL at 3:30pm, Saturday, October 1, 2016. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will take place 3:00pm Friday, September 30, 2016 at Florida National Cemetery Bushnell, FL.
