Wilbur F. Smith

He was born November 10, 1924 in the Spring Lake area of Brooksville and has been a lifelong resident.  He was a clerk for over 50 years for the Seaboard Coastline Railroad and a member of the Bread of Life Pentecostal Church of God.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mamie Lou Smith.  He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Gary & Donna Smith of Brooksville, Florida; daughters and son-in-law, Linda French of Boise, Idaho and Nancy & Jerry Stafne of Gainesville, Missouri; stepson, Richard Miller; sister, Wilma Neff of Brooksville, Florida; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild.

A Visitation for family and friends will take place from 6:00-8:00pm, Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, February 15, 2019, with Pastor Jack Dunn officiating.  Burial will follow at Townsend House Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the

Cerebral Palsy Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or March of Dimes.
