Born March 11, 1933 in Little Rock, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Samuel “Sam” Manes and Bonnie Slaughter Manes. He came to this area 52 years ago and was a beloved math teacher for over 22 years at Hernando High School where his wife, Nancy Schocky Manes, taught French for over 20 years. He was of the Episcopal faith.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Schocky Manes and his parents, Sam & Bonnie Manes. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Donald Manes & Eleanor Massie Manes of Little Rock, Arkansas and many nieces and nephews.
