Albert Walton Head aka "Walt"

Albert Walton Head, aka” Walt”, 56, of Townsend, GA died Thursday, the 23rd of January 2014 at Southeast Georgia Health System. Albert’s life will be celebrated by family and friends 11 AM Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Darien Church of God, with Reverend Tommy Whaley officiating.

Mr. Head is a native of Jacksonville, Florida, born the 31st of March 1957 to the late Benny Read Head and the late Shirley Jean Jones Kostoff. He had been a resident of McIntosh County since 1979. Mr. Head is a self employed commercial Fisherman and a veteran of the United States Army. He attended the Darien Church of God and enjoyed working and providing for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of fond memories that will be cherished by all.

In addition to Mr. Head’s parents he is preceded in death by his grandparents

Survivors include his wife of 20 yeas Sharon P. Head of Townsend, GA; a son Albert Head; three daughters Jessica Head, Michelle Howard and Sherri Griffin; four grandsons; four granddaughters; a great- granddaughter; two brothers Ben Head and Ron Kostoff; a sister Cheryl Horsley; a daughter-in-law Diane Head; and several other family members.
