Albert Kenneth McInnis, Jr. entered peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior at the age of 100 on Friday, September 23rd, 2022. He was born in Picayune, Mississippi, on August 2, 1922, the son of the late Albert Kenneth McInnis, Sr. and the late Margaret Stewart McInnis. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life and wife, Jean Ann McInnis; a son-in-law, Bill Cody.
Albert graduated from Montgomery High School in Montgomery, Alabama. He then graduated Tau Beta Pi from the University of Alabama with an aeronautical engineering degree in 1943. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served honorably for 10 years as a captain. He flew many missions from India to China over the Burma Hump in a C-130 a modified B-24. He was a very brave and patriotic man and also an avid reader. In 1953 after his honorable discharge from the Air Force he moved to Brunswick and started McInnis Electric Company in 1957 which is still operating today. Albert was a very intelligent man that loved to spend time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed a friendly game of cards and was a member of the Brunswick Country Club. He was an active member at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are daughters Margaret Butler (Brad), Missy Cody; a grandson, Mac Butler(Margaret); three granddaughters, Melissa Butler, Elizabeth Cody, and Jae Engman(Andy); four great-grandchildren, Albe Butler, Dean Butler, Leo Engman, and Cora Engman.
A funeral service to honor Albert’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 28th, 2022 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church with Father Alan Akridge officiating. The burial will follow the service in Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors.

Albert was a true Southern Gentleman from the Greatest Generation. He was affectionally called Pop by family and friends young and old. His life was a blessing to all who knew him. Roll Tide!
