Alec Gary Glen

Gary was born in Quebec City, Canada, on January 20, 1948. The family moved to Brunswick when Gary was in his mid 20’s. He attended Georgia Southern College earning a Bachelor’s degree in Education. It was here he met his future wife, Shari. Professionally, Gary worked as a store clerk at Brunswick Cellulose until retirement. He was an avid golfer and volunteered for the RSM Classic for 6 years.

His parents, Alec and Kathleen Glen and his brother-in-law, Luc Ranger preceded him in death.

Gary is survived by his wife of 43 years, Shari Hardy Glen; two daughters, Victoria More (James) and Cathy Abbey (Luis); bonus grandson, Hayson Abbey; brother, John Glen (Pam); two sisters, Peggy Ranger and Penny Glen and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church of Brunswick with Reverend Wright Culpepper officiating.
