James was born in Newton, Ga., the son of the late Alford James and Linnie Mae Martin Sr. He was a retired supervisor with Southern Manor. He is preceded in death by his wife Nina L. Martin, five brothers, two half-brothers, two half-sisters, and grandchild Tyler Barlow.
Survivors include his daughters Darlene Barlow (Bill), Sandra Warren (Donnie), and Katrina Hatcher (Tommy); his son Eugene Lewis; his sister Essie Mae Kindschy; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1:00PM Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Forest Acres Full Gospel Church with Rev. Darrell Owens officiating.
