

On February 1, 2018, Amy E. Haygood Gilliam, mother, daughter, and sister, passed unexpectedly at her home on Blythe Island, Georgia. Formerly of Macon, Georgia, Amy was 40 years old and will be forever loved and missed by her three sons, Lee, Aaron and Tyler, her adopted sister Katherine Wood, her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Ben I. Haygood (Glenda), her sister and brother-in-law, Drs. Kevin and Bonnie (Haygood) Brooks, and the Ken Lemmond family, all residing in Glynn County, Georgia.
Amy was a creative and gifted spirit, moved by her faith in Jesus Christ to live with an unquenchable sympathy for people and all other living things in need of family or shelter. She lived with intensity and determination, and modeled courage and resiliency for her children. Amy had found her professional calling as a master stylist and colorist at Taylor and Co. Salon, and her clients and coworkers were fortunate to have her imagination, skill and camaraderie.
The family has chosen to conduct a private ceremony to celebrate her life
