Ann Clark

Charlotte Ann Clark, 77, of Brunswick, GA died Sunday June 30, 2013 at Southeast Georgia Health System. Funeral service will be held11 AM Saturday the 6th of July 2013 at College Place United Methodist Church, 3890 Altama Ave. Brunswick, GA., with Reverend Rob Grotheer, Reverend George Herndon, and Reverend Franklin Pierce officiating. Interment will follow the service at 2:30 PM Homeward Cemetery in Waverly, GA.

Serving active pallbearers will be Stephen RM. Moreno III, Stephen Moreno IV, William A. Hitt, Jr., WM. Alex Hitt III, Justin S. Womack, and Nicholas A, Crowder.

Honorary Pallbearers will be All members of the Fellowship Sunday School at the college Place United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home from 6 PM – 8 PM Friday evening the 5th of July 2013.

Mrs. Clark was a native of Waycross GA, born the 7th of September 1935 to the late William Morgan Capps and the late Laura Ruth Adams Capps, and had been a resident of Brunswick for forty years. Mrs. Clark graduated from Waycross High School. She was employed by H& R Block and Mary Miller Travel on St. Simons Island, GA as a travel agent. She had been a member of the College Place United Methodist Church for 39 years. Mrs. Clark is the past member of the Worship Committee and a current member of the “Fellowship Class” at College Place United Methodist Church.

Ann always enjoyed arts and crafts. She created beautiful ceramics and delightful paintings. Sewing was also a favorite past –time. She and Russell were avid bridge players and then later domino players. She also league bowled through- out her life. Dressing up and attending “Let”s Make a Deal “with friends while living in California was a highlight. As a travel agent Ann had the opportunity to visit places all over the world. After retiring from Mary Miller Travel, she volunteered with the Red Cross.

In addition to Mrs. Clark’s parents she is preceded in death by her sister Carolyn Cain.

Survivors include her husband Russell Clark of Brunswick, GA; sister Billie Kathryn Verrett of Savannah, GA her daughter Lisa Hitt and Husband Bill and there children Alex and Maggie Hitt all of Brunswick, GA; daughter Lauran Moreno and husband Steve of Tarpon Springs, FL., and their children Stephen Moreno and Wife Libby , and Ciera Moreno Womack and Husband Justin all of Brunswick, GA ; son Phillip Clark of White Oak, GA; Brother- in – law Stanley Cain of Bartow, FL; and many in-laws , nieces, nephews, and friends.
