

Ann Settles Turner, 77, of Brunswick, died Friday, June 6, 2014 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home on St. Simons Island. Memorial services will be held 11 AM Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Lovely Lane Chapel, Epworth By The Sea on St. Simons Island with Rev. Jimmy Crandall officiating. Born August 23, 1936 in Thomaston, Georgia to the late Russell Cullen and Roberta Blackshear Settles, she was a graduate of Glynn Academy Class of 1954, and attended Anderson College in South Carolina. Mrs. Turner was a much beloved homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Brunswick, where she was a member of Love In Action Sunday School Class. Many were touched by her ceaseless acts of generosity and kindness, leaving a legacy of compassion, faith, and humor. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Brady E. Turner, Sr. of Brunswick, a son, Kip Turner, of Brunswick, a daughter, Heather T. Boland and husband David of Dallas, TX, and four grandchildren, Jet Turner, Jordy Turner, Ethan Turner, and Claire Boland. The family is deeply grateful for the compassion and kind service provided by all of the people at Magnolia Manor and Hospice. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles.
