Argris Paulk Quarterman

A memorial service will be held at Twitty Chapel of the First Baptist Church, 708 Manisfield St. Brunswick, GA , on Saturday the 5th of January 2013 at 11 AM with Reverend Jim Crandall officiating. Interment was private. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Grace Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church of Brunswick.

Mrs. Quarterman was a homemaker, kindergarten teacher, and loving wife and mother. She was a Christian and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Brunswick for 81 years. Her world revolved around her family and church friends, and she appreciated their attention and love. She lived in the home that she and her husband, Ned, designed and built, for 58 years until the age of 91 when she moved to Fernandina Beach, Florida.

She was born to Leon and Selma Paulk in 1920, and was married for 38 years to her husband, Ned, who preceded her in death in 1979. They had two sons: Ed (Linda) of Columbia, SC, and Jim (Sharon) of Fernandina Beach, FL. Her grandchildren include Mandy Quarterman Williams, Lindsay Quarterman Laxton, Brian Quarterman, and Brent Quarterman. She also had six great-grandchildren. Her next door neighbor, Jimmy Williamson, was also considered to be a member of the family. She enjoyed many trips and activities with her buddies, Linda Gibbs, Martha Fiveash, and Louise Evans.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Brunswick, GA, 708 Manisfield St. Brunswick, GA or Hospice of Northeast Florida.
