Audrie Lee Spires Lowe

Audrie Lee Spires Lowe, 80, of Brunswick, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Hospice of The Golden Isles. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 21, 2010 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Lamb and Rev. Stanley Luke officiating. Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery with Jim O’Connor, Joe O’Connor, Steve Pechin , George Cothran, Josh Mead and William Jennings serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Members of Joy Sunday School Class of Northside Baptist Church, Melissa Porterfield, Shi Franklin, Bobbie Kubacki, Quita Smith, Staff of Senior Care, Staff of Hospice of The Golden Isles, Renee Scott, Dr. James Greene, Dr. Scott Clay, Dr. Trent Schueneman, Dr. John Limberg, Glynn County Sheriffs Office, and McIntosh County Sheriffs Office.

Born July 7, 1929 in Coffee County Georgia to the late Flournoy and Bertha Spires, she was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, traveling and especially loved her grandchildren. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lowe was preceded in death by her husband, Jordan Daniel Lowe, Sr., and a brother, Darrell Spires.

Survivors include her son, Danny Lowe and wife Judy of Brunswick, two granddaughters, Jordi and Taylor Lowe, sisters, Shirley Drake and husband David of Waynesville, Essie O’Connor of Brunswick, Mary Jo Johnson and husband Kent of St Simons Island, a brother, Norman Spires and wife Myra of Brantley County, Sandy Housley and husband Jeff of Knoxville, TN, two sisters-in-law, Mackie McSwain of Brunswick and Alberta Seaton of Atlantic Beach, FL, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
