Austin Hubert Bigford

Austin was born July 20,1935 in Marion, North Carolina to the late John Chester Bigford and the late Lenora Florence Colvin. Austin retired July 1977 from the United States Navy. He was employed by the Brunswick Housing Authority as a plumber for fifteen years. Austin enjoyed walking and spending time with his family. He leaves many fond memories that will be cherished by all.

Austin is survived by son, James Bigford; daughter, Kathy Crocker; and son, John Bigford; sister, Katie Brigman; six grandchildren and eight great - grandchildren.

In addition to Austin’s parents he is preceded in death by his wife Betty Bigford, five brothers and two sisters.

Visitation is to be held 11 a.m.- 12 p.m. followed a funeral service at 12 p.m. in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home where Reverend Chris McEachern is to officiate. Interment will follow the service at Palmetto Cemetery with military honors by the United State Navy in Brunswick, Georgia.

Serving as pallbearers are Chuck Padgett, Danny Rentz, Johnny Hickox, Dennis Lewis, Doug Roberson and Eli Seeser .
