

Wednesday the 27th of September 2017 under the
care of o Georgia Hospice Care at the age 76. She
was born the 28th of May 1941 in Baxley, Ga.,
daughter of the late Jacob Boss Griffis, and the late
Alene Thornton.
In addition to her parents she has joined in eternal
heavenly celebration her husband Edward T. Butler; a son J Kevin Coleman; and brother and sister in love Talmadge E and Eleanor P Griffis; a sister Alta Griffis a nephew Tony E Griffis, SR and many other beloved family members.

(Tim) of Jesup, GA, and Cindy Thomas (Sye ) of
Brunswick, GA; step-son Eddie Butler (Susan) of
Richmond Hill, GA, sister Maxine Griffis Young of
Haines City, FL, Grandchildren Heather W
Bumgardner (Matt), Jaime Fuentes II, Jessica Turner, Ric Woodard, Carla Chockley, Adam Raikes, Michelle B Quinlan (Patrick), Tara B Greene (Nathaniel), Jake Thomas, Cameron Thomas,
Caleb Thomas ( Kenzie), Mikayla T Cabrera, MiKenzi
Thomas. Great Grandchildren Elijah, Alayia,
Jeremiah, Ava, Pierce, Abi-Lou,Ethan, Alyssa, Emma, Aiden, Caleb, Riley, Braedyn . A special niece Sonja Brockington (Roy) and cousin Wanda Self of
Brunswick, GA and several nieces and nephews
whom she loved as her own and many cousins.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the
family, Sunday the 1st of October 2017 from 5 PM to
9 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, 3321
Glynn Ave. in Brunswick.
A funeral service is to be conducted at 1 PM,
Monday, the 2nd of October 2017 at Sterling Church
of God, 6670 New Jesup Hwy., in Brunswick where
Reverend Larry Daughtry, is to officiate with guest
speaker Leon Guest. Entombment will follow with a
funeral cortege to Chapel Park Cemetery, 1180 Cate
Rd. in Brunswick, where Mrs. Butler will be laid to
rest.
Serving pallbearers are Tony E Griffis Jr, Roy
Brockington Jr; Brian Guest; Alan Young; Andrew
Cabrera and Warren Mann.
Honorary pallbearers are the Adult Sunday School
Class of Sterling Church of God.
She was an active member of Sterling Church of God and a former member of The United Pentecostal Church where she attended as young child until her adulthood.
Her love for God showed in her life and love for her
family, friends, church and anyone she met. She was Grandma Abby to many.
