Bernice was born December 31, 1939 to the late Maurice Palmer and Gladys Fairburn in Somerville, Massachusetts. She was a member of Norwich Baptist Church and loved spending time with her family and taking care of children.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Noah Eddy and her son: Richard Eddy.
She is survived by her children: Russell Eddy, Robin Duarte (Dudley), Ronnie Eddy, Robert Eddy and Randy Eddy; 20 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
