Betty was born on December 18, 1932, to Raymond and Elsie Elliott in East Rockway Long Island New York. She passed on to her eternal reward on May 24, 2023, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after a short illness. She married LeRoy Combs on March 22, 1951. Her beloved Roy predeceased her on October 24, 2012. She is survived by her brother Ronald (Joyce) Elliott, sons Rev. Donald (Susan) Combs, David Combs, James (Ann) Combs, and Jeff (Vickie) Combs, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and other extended family members. Betty was a Wife, Mother, Preschool teacher and director, College professor, active Republican, member of many professional organizations, and an avid quilter and quilting instructor. She will be missed by all who knew her. Any donations should be made to the charity of the donor’s choice with preference to a children’s charity.
