A graduate of Coker College, she taught elementary school in Brunswick, Georgia. She was married to A W Jones Jr. for over fifty years.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann (Mark) Chandler and two sons, Bill (Sally) Jones , and Jim Jones.
She is also survived by three grandchildren, Katie Gregg, Jay Gregg, and Claire Gregg.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday June 28, at 11:00 AM at Christ Church on St. Simons Island, Georgia.
