Amy, Betsy and Brian - You do not know me but your Mom did.  And I loved her!  We started talking about books in the lobby of the Hampton Inn about 9 years ago.  I usually go to St. Simons twice a year and it wasn't long before we were meeting for lunch and dinner and going shopping together.  Marlene Faulkner, who worked with her at the Hampton, also became a good friend.  On my last trip, which was the 3rd weekend in March this year, I spent a lot of quality time with Jean.  She announced at lunch that she was "looking forward to chemo."  And, I felt that if anyone could beat cancer, she could.  Jean was such a sweet, wonderful, kind friend.  I have Pirate Paul's book (autographed) for my grandbabies, thanks to her.  I will truly miss her when I am on the island.  She talked about all of you and I feel as if I know you just a little.  She was certainly proud of each one of you.  But, I also know that she is with the Lord now.  My condolences and may God give you strength during this time of sorrow.

J celebrate the life of Aunt Jeanie (as I've known her all my life) however I morn today too because this sweet Angel has left us on the physical earth. It is difficult to rejoice for her entry into heaven knowing that she is come from us here.  I do this selfless act though in remberence of this selfless soul that I love so much.

Thank you Aunt Jeanie for all & only the great memories I have of you.
