Beverly Nash, age 89, passed away on May 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of profound faith, resilient strength, and an unbreakable bond with her only child. She was a beloved mother, teacher, gardener, and friend whose "sassy smart" personality and sharp wit touched countless lives.
Born on July 14, 1936, Beverly was the daughter of the late Sue and Paul Senft. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Peterson, and her brother, Paul Senft, Jr.
Faith and trust in God were the foundation of Beverly’s life, which was exhibited through her extraordinary devotion to her son. With incredible discipline and an unwavering trust in God, she worked tirelessly to provide an amazing upbringing, setting a lasting example of compassion and grit. Her son will forever cherish the many hours they spent together on adventures—moments that formed the foundation of a lifetime of mutual devotion and gratitude.
After a successful career at Prudential Insurance, Beverly retired to St. Simons Island. A devoted member of First Baptist Church of Brunswick, her faith was the cornerstone of her life. From her early adulthood as a Sunday School teacher at Mt. Vernon Church in Atlanta to her continued service at First Baptist Church of Brunswick, she committed her life to spiritual growth and ministry.
An explorer at heart, Beverly possessed a lifetime passion for travel and the study of history. Her creativity flourished in her gardens; she was a proud member of the Cassina Garden Club and an alumna of Alpha Delta Pi. Her beautiful garden displays were a testament to the care she extended to the world. Beverly was also deeply thoughtful, never missing a chance to send a card or a word of encouragement to those she loved.
Beverly is survived by her son, Bill Nash, and his wife Marlene of Riverview, Florida. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Cherie Senft of Haines City, Florida; nieces Susan Peterson of Atlanta, Georgia, Nancy Thomas (Jim) of Greenville, South Carolina, Julie Greene (Tucker) of Atlanta, Georgia, Winnie Fryer (Keith) of Columbus, Georgia, and Sue Morabito (Ed) of Phoenix, Arizona; nephew John Peterson, Jr. (Jean) of Macon, Georgia; and many great-nieces and great-nephews who adored her.
Her legacy of kindness, faith, intelligence, and love will continue to live on in all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at the Edo Miller and Son’s funeral home on Wednesday May 13 at 1:30 pm. Graveside will be private with family.
In lieu of flowers donations can made to missions at First Baptist Church of Brunswick.
