Bill Hugh Jones

Mr. Jones was a native of Screven, Georgia and had been a resident of Brunswick for the past the past 70 years. He was a graduate of Glynn Academy and was retired from the Brunswick Pulp and Paper Company (Georgia Pacific). He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne Paratrooper infantryman.

He attended Glyndale Baptist Church in Brunswick..

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Lucile Jones, his brothers, Carl Jones and Thomas F. "Slick" Jones.

Survivors are his wife, Judy Jones of Brunswick, two sons, Mickey L. Jones of Brunswick and Chris K. Jones of Greenville, S.C., three grandchildren, Mickey L. Jones, Jr., Natalie Jones and Nicholas Jones.

Graveside Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday 5/26/12 in the Palmetto Cemetery with Military Honors at the Graveside. Mr. Wayne White will be officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Steven Hickson, Richard Long, Wayne Doke, Thomas Faulkner, Tom Bulloch and Sam Cooper.

The family request contributions to the Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, Ga., 31525 and will receive friends in the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM Friday
