

Bobbie Rhymes, 82, of Brunswick, entered into her eternal rest December 10, 2013 at Senior Care Center in Brunswick. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Friday, December 13, 2013 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Swain officiating. Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery with Joshua Sterno, Will Wainwright, Philip Popwell, Gary Newman, Julio Martinez Jr., Mike Tindall, Creighton Koreski, and Richard Rentz serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Rhymes, Staff of Senior Care Center, Staff of Sears Manor, Dr. Robert Thompson, and Members of Antioch Holiness Baptist Church.
Born December 8, 1931 in Brunswick, Georgia, to the late Bryant and Allie Godley Ward, she attended Glynn Academy, and was a lifelong resident of Glynn County. Mrs. Rhymes was a retired associate of Jack’s Minit Market, and was a member of Antioch Holiness Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Rhymes. Survivors include 2 sisters, Lucille Barron (Regis) and Althea Knight, both of Brunswick. Three sons, Jackie Reynolds (Rose) of Claxton, Steve Rhymes, Randy Rhymes, and a daughter, Glenda Wainwright, all of Brunswick, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Rhymes was an excellent crochet artist, but loved nothing more than the company of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren! Her unwavering faith and love for God was an inspiration to many. The loving prayers of her family, friends, and many supporters carried her through as she made her journey home. Continuously surrounded by loved ones in her final days, her family circle was unbroken.
