

Brenda was a strong, independent woman who spent many years working as a waitress in the food service industry. She enjoyed fishing, was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and loved cheering on Jimmie Johnson when he raced NASCAR.
Brenda attended the First United Methodist Church and was known for the delicious red velvet cakes she baked for family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her parents, Arthur Powell and Laura Chancy Powell, preceded Brenda in death.
She is survived by her sons, Jessie Harshner (April) of Metter, GA and Michael Harshner (Allie) of Byron, GA; two granddaughters, Bailee and Aubree Harshner of Metter; a brother, George Powell (Linda) of Metter; three sisters, Patti Madray (late Bill) of Brunswick, Betty Jean Trahey of Folkston, GA and Dianne Griffin (late Herb) of Jacksonville, FL; nephews, Rance Powell and Danny Griffin; Nieces, Erin Sikes, Shannon Farlow, Autsy Powell, Laurie Powell and Julie Molchan and a special friend, Jerome Griffin of Brunswick.
A private, family service will be held at a later date.
