I am very sorry to hear of Dennis' passing. I have fond memories of times shared both on the water and later after he swallowed the anchor. Go well my friend - until we meet again.

Gwen, my favorite memory is from our ladies trip to Universal Studios in 2015. Dennis made us wands to take to the Harry Potter Wizarding world. Not only did he hand carve the wands, he included a personalized poem for each of us. Remember when we pointed those wands at tailgaters and they fell back?! I still have my wand and poem, I smile every time I look at them. Then our flight home was cancelled due to weather up here. You called him and said you were bringing us home. He started up the hot tub so it would heat up and went out and bought a bottle of prosecco so we could soak and toast with bubbly. He really loved to take care of other people. He had a big heart and a bigger than life personality! I am really thankful to have known him.
Love you,

Dennis and I met in Boy Scouts of America Troop 204 when we were 11, about 1967. We went on many camping trips and made memories that have lasted a lifetime. Dennis was a unique individual with a bent sense of humor, something we shared. He was a friend that could always be counted on. I have always felt like I was a member of the Cox family. I will miss my friend.

Dennis became a friend after being one of my Brunwick High School students! His friendship was a gift, and I will always remember two fun highlights: riding on a Harley out to Sea Island....and sailing off St. Simons. I will miss his wit and warmth. My sympathies and love go to the family.
