He proudly served in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Arlene Deppmeyer.
Survivors include his sons, Timothy, Thomas, and Carl Deppmeyer; daughter, Belinda Hazlett; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Interment at Arlington National Cemetery is planned, with service arrangements to be announced at a later date.
Arrangements are by Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, Brunswick, Ga.
