She was a connoisseur of all things Scottish and took great satisfaction in staying up to date with current events. She carried a deep love for her friends, family, and pets, but more than all, she loved the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 blessed years, Stephen E. Szabo, of Hollywood, Florida; parents, Russell C. Grant Sr. and Anna Poore Grant, of Miami, Florida; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert A. Stevens and Diane S. Stevens, of Miami, Florida; and a sister, Cynthia A. Gwatley, of Florida.
She was survived by two sisters, Ruth Dinkins and husband Van (Sr.) of Darien, Georgia and Crystal Lee of South Carolina; three nephews, Michael Stevens of Texas, Russell Dinkins (Sabrina) of Darien, and Van Dinkins, Jr. (Regina) of Darien; three nieces, Sharon Baxley (Darrin) of St. Augustine, Tiffany Frazier (Johnny) of Atlanta, and Vera Logue (Bo) of Darien; several great nieces and nephews; as well as close friends, Mike and Denise Hilton, the Carver’s, and the McKee’s.
Carol especially will be remembered for her incredible sense of humor, contagious laughter, and zeal for life. She was a beautiful soul.
The family will receive friends from 10 am Friday, March 18, 2022, until the funeral hour at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home and at the reception immediately following the memorial. www.edomillerandsons.com
