Clarke, Henry Cartan, age 89, died on August 29, 2018 in Saint Simons Island, GA with Pat, his devoted wife, at his side. He grew up in Katonah, NY and attended Canterbury School, Deerfield Academy and Amherst College. He served several years in the Naval Reserve. Cartan began an insurance career at Marsh & McLennan in 1949, worked in four offices, beginning in New York City, followed by Buffalo, NY, Minneapolis, MN, and ending in Atlanta, GA. In 1982, he was made one of that firm’s original group of Managing Directors, and he retired in 1992 after 43 years.
