She was born March 16, 1958 in Jesup, Ga. to Vernell and Helen Griffis Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Robert Johnson.
Survivors are a son, Mikel Leggett and a daughter, Sonja Gibbs (Billy) both of Brunswick, grandchildren, Mikel Leggett, Mallory Leggett, Megan Leggett, Baine Leggett, Macey Leggett and Eliza Harrell, two sisters, Debby Johnson and Jackie Dent (Hubert) and Catherine’s companion, Lindsey Middleton.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday at the Fellowship Methodist Church, 2185 Old Jesup Rd., Brunswick, Ga. with Rev. Franklin Griffis officiating.
The family will receive friend at in the Church one hour before services.
The family request those wishing may make contributions to the Hospice of the Golden Isles.
