Charlene was born June 17, 1946 to Joseph S. Madden and Edith (Skipper) Madden. She was the youngest of six.
Charlene graduated from Glynn Academy Class of 1964 (The Greatest Class). She was the epitome of beauty, wisdom, kindness, elegance and grace. She loved and laughed; full of the Joy of her Lord.
Charlene earned her RN at the age of 37 from the Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, FL. A full time wife and mother of three, Charlene was very active teaching Precept Ministries Bible Studies and actively volunteering as Camp Nurse and Grandma at the annual Royal Family Kids Camp for abused and neglected children in Austin, TX, where she lived for thirty years.
Charlene was an active member of Glad Tidings Church were she served tirelessly. Charlene retired from nursing when her daughter, Shannon's twins Aiden and Bridget, were born so that she could be instrumental in raising and pouring into their lives. After her husband's death, she reconnected with a old high school classmate and friend, Joseph Jetton, also class of '64, married and returned to her place of birth, Brunswick, GA.
Preceding Charlene in death were her husband, Vibert Strock, her parents and five siblings, Ray, Gloria, June, Edith (Tootsie) and David Madden, all of whom she dearly loved. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Jetton, her three children, V. Linn Strock, his wife Julie, Charles and wife Jodi Strock, Shannon and her husband Richard Farrand; Charlene was also blessed with nine grandchildren; Kaylinn, Madison, Bronson, Hudson Sydney, Tori, Mallory, Aidan and Bridget; two great grandchildren, Adaline Jade and Mara. Many nieces and nephews and sisters in law, Aline Kittles and Karen Gilmore also cherish her memories.
Charlene is loved and cherish by all. No need to be sorry for our loss for she is not lost but alive forever more; as her precious friend, spiritual Mother and mentor says, "Never goodbye, but until we see you again...and we shall"
