Charles “Tom” Thomas Blanc, age 86 of White Oak, passed away on January 5, 2026. Known to his family as 'Papaw,' he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. A Navy veteran, he served aboard the USS Hancock. He was dearly loved for his sense of humor and gentle, loving ways, and he will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by mother Atha Louise Jett Blanc and father Hugh Willard Blanc; twin brother John Carter Blanc; brothers William Blanc and Jackson Blanc; and sister Charlotte Blanc Nighbert.
Survived by wife Carol Lowell Blanc; sisters, Carolyn Blanc Davis, and Jacqueline Blanc Kerr; a son, Christopher Blanc; granddaughters, Christiana Marie Blanc and Angelina Marie Blanc; a daughter, Cheryl Ann Blanc; grandson Ryan Edwin Bradham (Amanda); granddaughter Grace Elizabeth Bradham; great grandson Hudson Thomas Bradham; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
Service in memorial will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 12, 2026 at Waverly Methodist Church, 427 Middleton St, Waverly, GA 31565. Family will receive friends during visitation at 10:00 AM. His final resting place will be in Homeward Cemetery with a private family gathering.
