Pastor Green was a wonderful man and pastor. Although I didn’t see him very often after he was my pastor at Buckingham, he always acted happy to see me. He made me feel special and like I mattered. What a great example to try to follow. He truly loved others like Jesus did, and I’m sure he is rejoicing now in his Heavenly home.

I was saddened to hear of Brother Greens passing. I met him when visiting his church w my parents. Shortly after my own mother became ill, Brother Green visited often and prayed with my family and sat with us and talked and laughed and shared his time. Each time he left, we felt lifted, stronger, and dealt w her illness with a renewed vigor. When my mother passed, he spoke at her request at her own services. I remembered feeling a sense of peace while he spoke . Having only known him for a short few years,it still amazed me when I traveled back to my home how often I thought of him and what a great man he was. This world has lost a great man, but what a blessing knowing he is now watching over us and is at peace. Thank you Paster Green for being the man you were and guiding so many w your faith, your laughter and your great sense of humor.
Love ,

Charles Green was a great mentor to young preachers. He could help you shave 10 strokes off your golf game or help you get through life’s greatest challenges. His wisdom was only surpassed by his compassion as he shared his heart with you. If you were willing to listen. His words were like apples of gold. This man was a blessing to everyone he met. He will be missed by all.

The McLemore family from the Vidalia Church of God sends our love and, prayers. The Green family was more than a pastor to us, the family was consider part of our family. We are deeply grieved , but we rejoice that he is with the one he loved the most, his Lord and Savior. We weep with the family and feel the deep sorrow, but we know God will take you through this storm. As your father closed out my mother's funeral he was asked to sing, " I will meet you just inside the Eastern Gate", I believe as we all come to that day to cross over, he will meet us at that wonderful gate. To Sister Linda, and the children and grandchildren you all will be in our prayers and you will not be forgotten. It is not possible to tell of all the great deeds he has done, but know that he has paved the way for you. God's grace be with you.
The McLemore Family,

Pastor Green was our Pastor in Cumming, Ga at Sawnee Mtn Church of God. After every service, my daughter Savannah, who was 2 or 3, had to go give Pastor a hug and to tell him “hey”. We couldn’t leave without her doing this.
I give my condolences to the family and he will truly be missed.

Still unbelievable that we won’t see your face, get one of your hugs, or hear that booming voice again on this side of eternity. We love and miss you, can’t wait to be together again! Enjoy your reward, you sure worked hard for it.
