Dear Family of Charles O'Neal,

Way back in 1965 I worked with Charles at Hardee's Fast Food Restaurant on Norwich Street in Brunswick, GA where we made a whopping 75 cents per hour.

Charles would have been 16 at that time, and I would have been 19. I had not heard from him or anything about him until I saw his obituary in today's Brunswick News. I am so glad to know that he was a Christian and that he is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. What a blessing it is to know that you will one day see your loved one again. And yet I am sad to know that he is gone from this earth. I found Charles to be a hard worker and a very friendly guy with a great sense of humor. We had a lot of fun working together with all the other guys at Hardee's.

One of my girlfriends wrote a poem to me back when I worked at Hardee's with Charles, and some of the lines of the poem went like this: "He works at Hardee's, to him it's not new, along with O'Neal, J.B. and the crew."

May the Good Lord bless each and every one of you with the peace that only He can give.

Most Sincerely,
