Charles Bryant Smith

Charles Bryant Smith, 47, of Waynesville, GA passed away Monday September 17, 2012 at Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick Campus. A celebration of Charles’s life will be honored 10 AM Thursday September 20, 2012 at the Darien Church of God in Dairen, GA with Rev. Tommy Whaley to officiate.

Charles Bryant Smith was born on October 20, 1964 in Jesup, GA to the late Tommy Richard Smith and Shirley Knight Travis. He attended Glynn Academy and was employed by J.D. Leggett Company as a Brick mason. Charles was a residence of Darien for many years. before moving to Waynesville where he had lived for the past three years. Charles was a simple family man that enjoyed sharing his talents with his family and friends. He had many hobbies, the one he enjoyed most of all was collecting angels.

Charles is survived by his children Jessica P. Pittman and husband Richard of Waynesville, GA; and Brandon Smith of Townsend, GA; a grandson Ethan Smith of Townsend, GA; his mother Shirley Knight Travis of Waynesville, GA; three brothers Michael Fantine and wife Jane , David Smith all of Darien, GA; and Daniel Fantine of Waynesville, GA; a sister Tschia Skrobot of Woodstock, GA; and two step -sisters Crystal and Jackie Buckner both of California; Charles is also survives by several nieces and nephews and many other relatives.
