I first met Charles in 1988 in Brunswick. I walked into the shop where he was working and asked for a hair cut. He refused!!! I was shocked, Why I asked. You have natural curly hair and women are paying (I think he said $80.00) a lot of money for your curls. We became friends very quickly , after we argued about my haircut, that I wasn't going to get. That was 33 years ago, I've only had my hair cut twice from someone else in all these years. We live 5 hours away from Darien now; but we were coming over twice a year for him to trim my hair.
I talked to him a few weeks ago, his last words to me were.
Vickey, Let it grow.
I wish there were words that could ease your pain.
He's in Heaven and we will see each other again!❤❤❤
