Christopher Benjamin Otter, 61, passed away on July 27, 2026 after battling kidney disease.
Born in Douglas, GA on September 16, 1964, Chris was the son of Virgil and Barbara Otter. He grew up in the Golden Isles with his two beautiful sisters Andrea and Laura, went to Frederica Academy, and then attended GA Southern University in Statesboro.
Chris worked very hard and passionately his entire life, first as a broker, then as a franchise consultant. He loved working out, boxing and fast cars, but most importantly he loved his Heavenly Father, just as he loved his two wonderful children, Emily and Izzy.
Despite his ongoing health challenges, he found his happiness on Jekyll Island, where he spent his last 18 years with the love of his life, Judit.
Chris will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his mother.
A memorial service will be held on August 15, 2026 at 2pm at Faith Chapel on Jekyll Island, followed by a reception at the Jekyll Island Convention Center, at 3:30 pm.
