

Clifford “Pete” Boatright, 86, of Brunswick, died Monday, March 19, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday, March 23, 2012 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery with Curtis Harris, Clarke Wiggins, Jr., E.S. Ray, J.W. Sapp, Jeff Emory, and Richard Lockhart serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Arco Baptist Church, Marvin Coleman, and Leaston Lott.
Born December 12, 1925 in Bacon County Georgia to the late Ernest D. and Jessie M. Boatright, he was a retired Auto Mechanic and former owner and operator of Boatright Service Center in Brunswick. Mr. Boatright had also worked for Kings Brothers Ford in Waycross and Gould Motor Company in Brunswick. He was a member and deacon of Arco Baptist Church and had been a resident of Glynn County for over 50 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois E. Boatright, and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Boatright and wife Linda, Pat Boatright and wife Rita, and one daughter, Ellie Boatright, all of Brunswick, four grandchildren, Barry Boatright, Terry Boatright, Lisa Frey, and Angie Johnson, eight great grandchildren, two brothers, John Vernon Boatright and Billy Franklin Boatright, both of Waycross, and one sister, Vonnis Boatright of Brunswick.
