

He was born on November 4, 1974 in Brunswick, to the late Anthony D. and Elizabeth C. Smith, and grew up on St. Simons. An avid surfer for most of his life, he also loved to cook and was an award winning chef. His talent with food took him to San Diego, San Francisco, and Scottsdale, AZ before moving back home to be closer to family.
Chef Comer leaves behind a legacy of laughter, mischief, and awe-inspiring talent and will be missed dearly by those who knew him. Survivors include his daughter, Harley Reagan of Phoenix, AZ, a sister, Laura S. Vivenzio (Pete) of St. Simons, nephews, Benjamin Vivenzio and Devon Priest, of St. Simons and countless friends from Georgia to California and everywhere in-between.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening July 30, 2015 from 5:30 PM until 7 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow. A fund in Mr. Smith’s name has been set up for his daughter at Bank of the Ozarks, 1809 Frederica Road, St. Simons Island, GA. www.edomillerandsons.com
