Darlene P. Tyler

Ms Tyler was born March 25, 1956 in Witchita Falls, Texas to John H & Leola Copeland Padgett. In 1964 her family moved to Blythe Island where she spent most of her young life. She graduated from Glynn Academy Class of 1974. During this time she was very active in Blythe Island Baptist Church and school activities.

The next phase of her life consisted of being a homemaker, raising her family and a career in finance and banking. She presently was employed as a mortgage loan officer with Synovous Bank in Charleston, SC.

Darlene was a devoted mother and daughter. She was a Light, a Rock and an Inspiration to those she met along the way and “A Good & Faithful Servant” to her Lord. Her most treasured moments would be serving her Lord and family. She adored being with her extended family and was always there for anyone who had a need.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Leola Padgett, an infant brother Michael Padgett and her Grandparents, Abraham L & Corene Copeland and John and Ethel Padgett.

She is survived by her son, Justin F Tyler of Charlotte, NC and daughter, Lindsey Tyler of Charleston, SC. Other survivors include her father, John H Padgett and brothers, Carl S Padgett (Paula) & Kevin L Padgett (Joni) all of Brunswick. Also, special to her were her nieces, April Page (Jim) & Christi Padgett of Brunswick, Brittney Padgett of Savannah, Katherine Padgett of Brunswick, Sharon Reynolds of Fitzgerald, GA, Sandy Freeman & Courtney Pitts of LaGrange, GA, nephew, Carl Stephen Padgett of Brunswick, great nephew, Garrett Page and great niece, Grace Lynn Page of Brunswick.

She is also survived by a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends who will all miss her greatly.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Barry Copeland, David Copeland, Barry Lumpkin, Carl Stephen Padgett, Larry Copeland, Dustin Copeland, Mark Copeland and David Downs.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home of Brunswick.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Blythe Island Baptist Church with burial to follow at Ella Park Cemetery, Dover Bluff Rd. Waverly, GA.
