

He was preceded in death by his parents Jeanette and Dave Gale and a brother Donnie Gale.
Dave was a lifelong commercial fisherman. He served as a nuisance alligator trapper and tagged shad in a Research Program with the Ga. Department of Natural Resources for 25 years. After graduating from Darien High School in 1965 he joined the U.S. Navy. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served his country proudly for 4 years. He returned home with an Honorable discharge in 1970. He married Janice Reddick Gale on May 28, 1970 at the Darien United Methodist Church.
Dave loved the rivers and marshes and often expressed gratitude for having spent his life surrounded by nature’s wonders. He enjoyed and looked forward to his Wednesday night poker games with his special group of poker buddies.
He was a family man who spent his life loving and nurturing his family and many friends. He was known for his wit and was voted wittiest by his fellow classmates.
A kind and caring man loved by all who were blessed to have him as a friend. He was known for his incredible net making abilities.
He is survived by his spouse Janice Reddick Gale. A daughter Sherry Gale, a son Dave “Davey” Stafford Gale and his wife Jennifer. Four beautiful and beloved grandchildren: Kevin, Kailee, Addison, and David, who reside in Gilbert, Az. A brother Darwin Gale and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. A golden lab “Dixie” he jokingly referred to as his “other womam”.
The gathering for family and friends will held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2016 in the Patriot Room at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
