David Scott Benton

David Scott Benton, 61, of Atlanta, departed this life on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at his residence. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2pm on Thursday, May 12, 2022 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Laura Waters officiating. Inurnment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery. Born July 21, 1960 in Copper Cove, Texas to Sidney Donald and Diane B. Benton, he was a graduate of Glynn Academy Class of 1978. Mr. Benton an event planner for Proof of The Pudding in Atlanta. He was of the Methodist Faith and enjoyed travel, classic cars and walking on the beach. He was preceded in death by his father and a twin brother Donald Wayne Benton. Survivors include his mother, Diane B. Benton, two sisters, Tracy Taylor and Janie Roddenberry and husband Lee, all of Brunswick, and a brother John Benton of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, two nephews, Ryan and Hunter Roddenberry, two nieces, Carlye Madigan and husband Christopher, and Mallory O’Cain and husband Eli, and a great nephew, Jackson Madigan.
