Born September 2, 1954 in Birmingham, Alabama to Carl H. and Jacqueline C. Brand, he was a family man and former restaurant owner and entrepreneur. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl H. Brand.
Survivors include his mother, Jackie Brand of Brunswick, three sons, Scott Brand and wife Hanna of Marietta, Michael C. Brand and Amanda Bettner of Brunswick, Marcus A. Brand and wife Nancy of Mableton, GA, five grandchildren, one brother, Carl “Buddy” Brand, Jr. and wife Pam of Braselton, GA, one sister, Susan B. Block and husband Larry of Lady Lake, FL, a former wife, Ainsley Brand of Jesup, several nieces and nephews.
