David Andrew Collins Jr.

David was born in April of 1940 to Elizabeth and David A Collins Sr. in Philadelphia, PA. On June 20, 1970 he married Barbara DeMarshall in Philadelphia, PA.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara of St. Simons Island; daughter, Susan of Portland OR; son, David, his wife Jessica and their children Nathan and Samuel of Shavertown PA.

David was a veteran of the United States Navy and served proudly during the Vietnam War on the Aircraft Carrier USS Bennington. He had a successful career in the Insurance Industry retiring as the Chief Operating Officer of the Clair-Odell group of Plymouth Meeting, PA later acquired by Mellon Bank. David was an avid automobile and motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed nature, spending time walking with his dog and enjoying time on the beach with his family. After retirement he spent time between St Simons Island GA and Brigantine NJ.

Ceremonies in honor of his life will be forthcoming. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Humane Society of Brunswick, GA or the Hospice of the Golden Islands.
