David Lamar Lewis, Sr.

David Lamar Lewis, Sr., 64, of Brunswick, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 at his residence. He is survived by his sons: David Lewis, Jr., and Greg Lewis (Christy); five loving and dear grandchildren: Sarah Quin Lewis, Katie Lewis, Christopher Lewis, Beth Lewis and Grace Lewis; two brothers: Frankie Griffis and Charlie Griffis and one sister: Linda Holcomb. He is preceded in death by his parents: Irene and J.C Proctor; a brother: Ronnie Lewis and his sister: Sandra Hayes.

He loved watching sports with his sons and grandson, coaching numerous of years of baseball, and he loved taking the girls shopping. David was employed at Glynn County Farm Bureau up until his passing. He was an avid insurance agent, having served 45 years in Glynn County.

The family will receive friends, Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 6-8PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 2 PM. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
