Born November 25, 1942 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to the late Claude Donald and Alleyne B. Cothran, she was a land and real estate developer with Berrie Bluffs LLC. She had been a resident of Camden County for the past 10 years. Mrs. Richardson attended St. Simons Community Church. She enjoyed playing tennis, pickle ball, gardening, boating abroad, shopping and dancing.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Richardson of Waverly, a daughter, Deborah Lynn Van Valkenburg and husband Cliff Soderberg of Brunswick, a son, Michael Scott Richardson and wife Mara of Brunswick, a grandson, Roman Michael Richardson and a granddaughter, Taylor Van Valkenburg.
