

Don Reggie Thompson, 70, peacefully entered into Heaven’s Gates on Friday, October 8, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born in Brunswick, Georgia the son of the late Henry Felton Thompson and the late Ivy Heyes Thompson. He was a 1968 graduate of Glynn Academy.
Don was a resident of Hortense, Georgia since 1977. Don loved the Lord and his family with all his heart. He also enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends. Don will be remembered for his delicious steaks and oyster roasts. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and carpentry. He was a talented craftsman, and also found a great sense of pride maintaining his yard. He was an avid NASCAR fan. Don was retired from Fort Dearborn as a Logistics Supervisor. He absolutely loved to attend Little Memorial Baptist Church. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 36 years, Marsha Thompson; his two daughters, Tiffany Henderson (Matt) and Priscilla Thompson; his four wonderful grandchildren, Madeline, Charlotte, Dawson and Declan Henderson; his two sisters, Elizabeth Handley and Judith Kelly (Kenneth). Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A visitation will be held between 10 – 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Little Memorial Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM following the visitation. You are cordially invited to join the family in this celebration of Don’s life with Pastor Keith Brown officiating. The burial will follow the service at Mount Olive Baptist Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Adrian Thompson, Andrew Kelly, Ryan Rogers, Nicolas Holland, Michael Holland, Matt Henderson, and Joshua Anderson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Rogers, Chris Popwell, David Barber, Tommy Crews, and Donnie Harrison.
