

Donald Turner, 81, of Brunswick, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at SGHS in Brunswick. Memorial services will be held at 11AM Saturday, July 7, 2012 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating.
Born September 18, 1930 in Bacon County to the late Joe L. and Lula W. Turner, he was a US Navy Veteran, and retired commercial electrician. Mr. Turner was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was affiliated with Black Hammock and County Line Hunting Club. He was of the Baptist faith and had been a resident of Glynn County since 1995. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine P. Turner, four brothers, Claude Turner, Horace Turner, Clyde Turner, and Ulysses Turner, three sisters, Lovie Dixon, Lillian Gillis, and Lilly Turner.
Survivors include a son, Donald “Ricky” Turner(Mitsy) of Winter Garden, FL, three daughters, Donita T. Taylor (Bill) of Brunswick, Yulanda T. Stinson (Mike) of Brunswick, and Beth Youngblood (Tim) of Alma, five grandchildren, Kelly Lee, Lauren Taylor, Tyla Smith, DJ Turner, Amanda Patterson (Will), six great grandchildren, Gunner Patterson, Elysia Smith, Ellagail Patterson, Faithy Patterson, Farrah Patterson, and Fallen Patterson, and two brothers, ED Turner and Seward Turner both of Alma.
