

Donna Lynn Shead, of Brunswick, Georgia passed away Wednesday morning, the 12th of April 2017 at Southeast Georgia Health Systems in Brunswick, at the age of 49. Donna was born the 22nd of January 1968 in Brunswick, Georgia. She attended Brunswick High School before receiving her BA in Science and General Psychology at the College of Coastal Georgia in Brunswick. Donna was employed by Flint Equipment – John Deere as an Administrator, and attended the New Day Church in Brunswick.
Those who knew and loved Donna will remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who had an avid passion for motorcycling, spending time with her family, friends, and attending softball games with her children. She is preceded in death by her father Dave Williams. and step-father Wayne Davis. Survived by her loving husband Keith Shead; her children Carrigan Thompson, Chase Thompson, all of Brunswick, GA; and Lindsay (David) Gardner of Darien, GA; grandchild, Perryn Gardner of Darien, GA; mother Linda (Hugh) Shanahan of Bloomington, IN; two brothers Darrell (Missy) Williams of Kinston , NC., and Nathan Williams of Santa Rosa, CA; best friend Michelle Woods of Metter GA; mother – in – law Shirley (Charlie) Thompson of Mt. Vernon, GA; brother – in – law Kris ( Dana ) Shead of Brunswick, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 14th of April 2017, at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
A funeral service is to be conducted on Saturday, the 15th of April 2017, at ten o’clock in the morning at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 3321 Glynn Ave., Brunswick, GA. where Reverend Randy Lamb is to officiate. Burial will follow by a funeral cortege to Evergreen Memorial Cemetery
Serving pallbearers will be Jeff Lee, Bubba Barr, Kris Shead, Tyler Shead, David Gardner, and Richie Tuten.
Honorary pallbearers will be the South Georgia Red Fish Softball Team .
The family has requested that in lieu of customary remembrances, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society Glynn County Chapter, 3011 Hampton Ave., STE 361, Brunswick, GA 31520
