Dorothy Parker Grover

Dorothy was born January 18, 1940 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Lewis Alton Parker and the late Dorothy Beatrice Parker. She was the devoted wife of thirty-six years to Bobby “Bob” Joe Grover. She was also a retired office manager with Southern Bell after over thirty years of dedicated employment. She will always be remembered as a lady that could take charge of any situation or task and lead others toward a pleasant resolution.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Alton Parker and Dorothy Beatrice Parker; also a brother, Dee Parker. She is survived by her devoted husband, Bobby “Bob” Joe Grover of Brunswick, GA; a stepson, David “Ronnie” Ronald Grover (Laverne) of Waycross, GA; a stepdaughter, Robin G. Ivy of Brunswick, GA; two grandsons, David Chad Grover (Amanda) of Savannah, GA and Ronald Ashley Grover of Waycross, GA; a granddaughter, Lindsey Paige Ivy of Statesboro, GA; one sister, Kay Carr of St. Louis, MO. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy love to spend time with family and friends. She also enjoyed entertaining guest on any occasion. She always look forward to dining with her lady friends at their scheduled lunches. Dorothy also was an avid reader and loved to travel. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family will have many fond memories to cherish for years to come.

A Celebration of Life Service to honor Dorothy’s life will be held at a later date. It was truly a life well lived and will always be remembered.
