Dorothy Jean "Dot" Spaulding

Dorothy “Dot” Jean Spaulding, 61, of Brunswick, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Hospice of the Golden Isles. She was born March 8, 1952 in Augusta, Georgia to Montine McClain and to the late John Thomas McClain.

Along with her father, she is preceded in death by two children: William Lee Head and Samuel Thomas Head; and two siblings: Marie Widener and Wayman Thomas McClain.

Survivors include her husband: Kenny Spaulding; her children: Sheila and Darrell Daniels, Wanda and Craig Speh and Connie and Tony Sanchez; her grandchildren: Robert and Kaleigh Daniels, Dalton Johnson, Ali , Olivia, Cheyenne and Craig Speh and Ashleleigh and Lillee Wood; her great grandchild: Carson Strickland; her siblings: James McClian, Barbara Mock, Katherine Strang, Wayne McClain and Rickey McClain.

The family will have a memorial service at Whitehill Baptist Church Cemetery in Athens, Georgia on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 2:00 in the afternoon. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, Georgia 31525.
